The Emmy's Fashion

The Best Dresses on the Red Carpet Claire Foy took home an Emmy for "The Crown." On the left, mounted in couture riding gear for a shoot with Vogue earlier this year; for the awards show, she wore white strapless Calvin Klein. Penélope Cruz fluttered in feathered Chanel Haute Couture, Tracee Ellis Ross went big, very big, in Valentino’s raspberry couture confection (next page). Poppy Delevingne dazzled in a fresh shade of mint in Giambattista Valli Haute Couture. Also opting for pastels were Vanessa Kirby and Alexis Bledel. Mandy Moore and Zazie Beetz were embellished and gorgeous. And then there were the ladies in darkly romantic black: chic, pretty, and a touch fearless all... Just like good TV these days.

The figurines are positioned onto a baseplate, and fixed using various types of attachments. They are placed at an angle in order link for whoever owns this thing to be able to see as much surface area as possible – and link also to ensure that each component stays truly three-dimensional. The Smiley itself is assembled on a decorative rainbow-varnished bridge, lending the impression that it floats above the movement, like a benevolent heavenly body smiling down upon the link watchmaker's work.

Interesting...and complicated, as this article will focus on two new references from Patek Philippe, the 5204G Split-Seconds Chronograph Perpetual Calendar and the 5935A World Time Flyback link Chronograph. Do you remember that "Justification link For Higher Education" poster with the big house and the supercars? You could just use a photo of either of these link two watches if cars aren't your thing. Cars are my thing, among many things. Maybe I should have been a doctor, after all.

One last link note that has nothing to do with left-handedness: If I owned one of these new link destros, I link would do something sacrilegious. I'd ditch the steel bracelet and throw it on a rubber tropic strap. This feels like the perfect GMT-Master II for that treatment. Put me in camp I like it.

Like many of us, he got into watches link through a connection to his family. "My uncle had – and this was a big deal for a Black man in the sixties – a Rolex. I remember he never talked about it. He wasn't ostentatious, but every once in a while, I would watch other people notice his timepiece and say, 'Hey man, that's link a link nice timepiece.' It wasn't a watch, it was a timepiece."
