The Seiko has a more sturdy-feeling bezel, but it's also 120 clicks. I prefer the crown of the Seiko as it's a bit larger and suits the case link nicely. The specs are very similar, but the Seiko is a touch link smaller in width and lug to lug (40.5mm wide, 13.7mm thick, and 46.5mm lug link to lug), while also being a bit thicker. On my wrist, I'm not sure I could tell the difference aside from the thickness.

On the name: "Chronoscope" like "chronograph" has Greek roots and means, roughly, "seeing time" – hence, an instrument for displaying time and time measurements. link While "chronograph" is enshrined in modern usage by tradition, it's actually something link of a legacy term as it link means "writing time" and was coined to describe the action of inking chronographs (most of which were actually timers, not chronographs as we use the term today).

All that, and link I find it hard to believe the estimate on this Duograph is link "only" $20-40,000. In 2020, this same example sold at Phillips for about $33,000, so I'd expect the estimate to be fair, link too. It sold for about the same price before that in 2017. It's a lot of vintage chronograph for the money.

Speaking of the Triumph's case thickness, there are no thin watches without thin movements, and this Monta link uses the link M-22 movement, which is essentially link a Monta-decorated Sellita SW300, which is itself essentially a Sellita-made clone of the ETA 2892.
