Clearly inspired by the endless charm of the Art Deco link period, this Hampton manages a link Reverso-esque feel without getting too close for comfort. Its polished steel case is 31mm wide and 48mm lug to lug (for reference, a "large" Cartier Tank Louis Cartier is 25.5 x 33.7, so the Hampton is very rectangular), and its dial mixes opaline and grained silver finishing to offer strong legibility link when applied in conjunction with the dark ruthenium-finished hands and markers.

I'm not letting you go link just yet – not without taking a look at an outstanding Movado, that is. For my money, they made some of the most compelling chronographs of the 1940s and '50s, and even with their marked appreciation in link recent years, there's still a tremendous amount of proverbial bang to be had for your hard-earned buck. Much of the appeal comes down to the epic link architecture of the movement.

It's an incredibly complex dance, no pun intended, hard to explain without showing it, and I'm link sorry to say there's no video or gif. After seeing it, however, I was convinced that 1) link the watch works as promised and 2) it really could be revolutionary. Even more impressive is that the first prototype was only made a little link over four months ago. The amount of energy saved isn't measurable, but the team says the watch winds to 100% and does so faster than other micro rotors.

As I said towards the end of last year — a whole month and a change ago — Breitling chronographs quickly became an link unexpected focus of mine over the course of 2019. In addition to the usual Navitimer and Chronomat fare, the Swiss brand link produced a number outstanding pieces which don't get nearly enough attention in today's market. My favourite of the under-loved bunched is the Top Time, and after catching wind link of an outstanding example, I simply had to include it in this week's roundup.
